I would like to inform the public personally that there appears to be a fraudulent "Canada Revenue Agency" agent calling people, I have been nearly a victim of this phishing scam call twice today, both were pre-recorded messages claiming that I must contact a lawyer right away and have them call the number provided: (613) 686-4319). The male voice sounds like someone in the Montreal / Quebec region, DO NOT FALL FOR THIS CALLER... So far I've traced a suspected IP address involved in the scam saying the call is "legitimate" but there are a lot of people getting this same call, mostly today, but in recent months. This person will sound very convincing, but the number can also be traced back to the United States, namely a landline owned and operated by Rogers Communications, Inc.. More to come if I investigate further, the person on the other side claims to be a "John Parker" but there are others who claim he was other names as well...
